for those who say Dnb or sorry i mean "jungle" is trendy now and it is JUST a trend...you better look more into that shit....in most other places around the world it has been one of the dominating forms of electronic music since breakbeat hardcore....it hasnt lost pace in the years it has been here...every year it grows with nothing but new sounds and new ideas to keep it moving....the the beaatiful thing about the genre...theres endless forms of breakbeats...tons of different things you can do with your programmed breaks and sampled cut up breaks you simply cant do with other genres of music.....dnb has gone from usuing the same simple rave sounds in the past to incorporating sounds from house,disco,reggae,trance,techno,ambient,downtempo ,hiphop,rnb,latin,newwave and even fuckin metal....what other music does that and can take those forms and make it into something that storms a dancefloor...or makes someone that would normally maybe hate Latin stuff..like latin because of the extra groove or whatever put into it by a producer.....over the years SOO many people i know hated on dnb....and ya know what....a good % of those people are now fans and asking about it all the time....so basically no reason to hate...because most likely you're gonna make yourself look stupid later...on a lighter note....respect all music...love it....cherish it,....because can you imagine what it would be like to be def and never have experienced music?

hip hop, trip hop, downtempo, acid jazz, jazz, and more all contribute to the various music styles - available to us - within themselves - just like dnb ("jungle" is reserved for the jump-up, ragga, bouncy sound).

And I actually can't agree that dnb is coming up with new sounds to the effect thats it's greatly noticable. Everyone who is starting out or a seasoned producer is ganking sounds off of their favorite producers and not realying on their individual creativity. Especially the US producers who should be looking a different direction.

Unfortunately, SF, Seattle, Southern Cali, Las Vegas, and all the other spots are stuck on the same sound leaving me with no other option than to create my own.
