Happy New Year! It has indeed been an interesting year in the Electronic Dance Music industry. With the introduction to digital record labels to the market and the transition of the dance parties around the globe things are shaping up and the market is seeing a gradual recovery from the slump that hit in 2003.
With this said, I see bright things in the future for 2006. I engineered 18 tracks in 2005, 12 of those signed and released as well as landing the Hard Dance charts top 10 with 'SMF-live vs CBR - Freedom to dance' and also being nominated for the 2005 Hard Dance awards. Things are definately looking up.
So for the new year I started digging into my digital media recorder and found this mix from a show I played in December that features an epic blend of UPLIFTING and DARK Hard Dance. Some familiar and some fresh never heard before in America tunes in this one. I gave it a listen because I knew my frame of mind was slightly altered by the dozens of drinks I happened to consume during and before the set and found it wasn't all that bad. Only a couple minor slips but nothing tragic. ;)
I clipped it into two files. I hope you enjoy the mix.
Part 1 (A unique mixture of Hard Melodic trance) If you like uplifting trance you will dig this one. Featuring forthcoming releases on Tidy, Fevah, Volatile, and some unsigned work. Also includes SMF-Live vs CBR "Freedom to dance".
Part 2 (The dark side of my alter ego) This is the latter part of the live set, ending with a special never to be released tune because of licensing issues with the Eurythmics.
Hope you enjoy it.

Bloody hell, apologies for the book.
