DOOD... OK, SO I LOGGED INTO ANOTHER UNDERGROUND PARTY CHAT AREA IN A DIFFRENT PART OF OUR NATION.... NEW ORLEANS TO BE EXACT....AND THEY WERE FUCKING ASSHOLES!! WHEN I STARTED TALKING TO THEM, YOU KNOW, SEEING WHATS UP THERE, THEY WENT FUCKING OFF ON ME OUT OF THE FUCKING BLUE SAYING THAT ITS ALL THESE NEW PEOPLE THAT COME INTO THEIR SCENE, ESPECIALLY THE ONES FROM VEGAS, THAT ARE CAUSING THE SCENE TO FUCKING DIE. I WAS LIKE, HOLY SHIT, ARE YOU ALL FUCKING PHSYCO? JUST OUTTA THE FUCKING BLUE, I WAS MAKING SMALL TALK, AND AS SOON AS THE FACT THAT I LIVED HERE CAME UP, IT WAS OUTTA THE FUCKING BALL PARK. I MEAN REALLY, EVERYONE THAT I WAS TALKING TO EITHER IGNORED ME OR TALKED SHIT AFTER THAT. ALL BECAUSE IM FROM VEGAS... I SUPPOSEDLEY WAS THE END OF THERE SCENE, AND I HAVENT EVEN BEEN TO ONE OF THEIR PARTIES, I WAS JUST CHATTING. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, DO THESE FUCKING PYSCOS THINK THAT THEIR THE ONLY ONES STRUGGLING TO KEEP IT ALIVE RIGHT NOW? DO THEY THINK THAT THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER OR SO MUCH COOLER THAN THE FUCKING DANCERS IN VEGAS? JUST CUS THEY CAN FUCKING SPIN A GLOWSTICK? I MEAN FUCK... IF SOMEONE NEW COMES HERE, WE ALL DO OUR BEST TO TRY AND MAKE THEM FIT IN AND FEEL WELCOME.. People will always be defensive and try to evaluate who causes our "Scenes" to with away. But harsh reality of it is that we are all the problem. Until we can get over ourselves the scene will always look the same.

uhm, i've experienced the "hospitality" extended to newcomers by the vegas raver crowd firsthand, and i've seen others deal with it as well, and it leaves a lot to be desired. ::shrugs:: maybe i just got unlucky.

well even the vegas scene has changed quite a bit.. even if people are accepting, certain cliques have formed over the years and theyre less hospitable in terms of extending a welcome to the new guy..
