as a new transplant, i'm curious, how many of you kids gamble? any interesting gambling stories?

for instance, i know you must be 21, but i don't think i've ever been id'd at any casino here, ok once at the rio, but anyway, ever go and gamble underage anyway? and then start winning? do they at some point try to confirm whether you're of legal age?

do any of you underagers indulge (for lack of a better word) in illegal gambling on your own? betting on shit perhaps? or is it more like nyc residents who have never been to the statue of liberty (the majority). is gambling a way of life or mostly a tourist thing?

here in the northest (LV) there are these ratty local casinos, but i never see any cars parked at them; how do they stay in biz? and they're hotels too. do locals really need to stay at a hotel minutes from home? tourists are certainly not staying at these places.

Gambling is gay unless you are good at it. I am not, so, no.

I love to gamble! I rarely lose, but when I do, I lose big time =D ...but at least the free drinks make up for it. I like to play roulette, but when my boys are in town, we hit up the 21 tables. I just think it's great entertainment with a perk: winning on occasion. I dont really play as much as I used to since I live here now, but it's still fun once in a while. I won 100 bucks on Friday night...not too much, but shit, I walked 60 bucks ahead, plus free drinks. I want to learn to play craps. I watch the boys play, but I just dont get it

ya blackjack is where its at. i never play anything major, just sit at the 3 dollar tables playing the minimum and drinking free cocktails. the last couple times ive come out even or up, so id say its working out nicely. as long as you dont spend money you cant afford to lose, and you walk away when youre up, its all in good fun

i dont gamble i whole lot, but when i do i know what i'm doing. usually play the dozens on roulette for anywhere between 20 and 200 a spin.

and if i hit up the blackjack tables i'll only play first base and only on single or double deck. automatic shufflers and the six deck shoe are no-no's for me.

I usually sit at the blackjack table. I am a pretty intensive gambler when I do go out. I have bet $100 a hand before and walked away with a $500 dollar chip in my hand. But I have lost more than that so I'm still down so far in my life.

MEGA BUCKS baby....one of these days....I'll hit that jack pot....

I like to gamble on occasion hell ast texas everything use to be comp'd for me! It was great, and that was back when i was winning a decent amount also.

I like Pia Gow the most, its fun and relaxing and u can just sit and have a good time, sepcially if u have friends at the table to sit and talk with. Plus its low paced, plenty of time to get drunk!

But yeah Roulette is what I started on and shit, its all dope!!! 21 is nice when u have some extra money and want to play a really fast paced stressful game.

When I first started gambling it was out of control... Now I don't put more then $5 in a night. That's when I go out and that's not to often.

here's a scenario i'm curious about. let's say you're 20, fuck it ,16 and you're out gambling, and you get lucky, then the casino id's you, and you're underage, what then? do you get locked up? fines? or just can't keep the winnings?

if it's the latter, they should also pay you back for what you've lost, to be fair, but hey, they're casinos right? the word fair doesn't exist there does it? just an illusion like most of the rest of the city.

who gambles underage? or who's done it before? i mean, everyone drinks underage, and anyone who gets high, well that's just totally illegal (yet fun), so what's the dilly on the gambling? how much of an influence has it had on your lives? where are you more likely to get away with "teenage gambling" ? casinos that are desperate, or don't give a fuck? or does it not even matter wherever you are?

I used to play the poker machines at the Green Shack when I was like 7, I never got in trouble, but that's only cause my family owned it. So I don't think that helped you.

My experience with gambling is they don't card you really unless you go to the tables and play. But if you win and they do the ticket system, when you go to redeem the ticket they'll ask you for your id. But not always. But when you do get carded I know they kick you out of the casino and you can't come back and you don't get to keep anything.
