You can only expect people to comprehend that which their mind has the capability to grasp, plus it depends on your definition of the words "deep thoughts." And when was religion ever considered a train of thought that required depth?

realigion is like a tidal pool: theres a lot of wanes and flows and pools and cool stuff, but ultimately its part of a great mysterious ocean that the human mind can never understand, realize or vocalize properly. Hence faith and the belief that we just have to do the best we can with what we're given.

maybe we don't understand it because that was the only way in primitive life to explain how existance came about. we also thought the earth was flat, and that the sun rotated around us, and not vice versa. even though they were proveable, it just goes to show how intellectually incompetent people were in our ancestotry

I was actually referring to the posts about peoples love lives, and things along those lines.

And as for religion, its just a constant back and forth battle. Everyone has thier own beliefs and that will never change.

I know; I was simply using religion as an example to show the degree of which I agree, or at least empathize, with you. Then everyone went off on a tangent concerning religion, not a bad thing just not the initial intent of the post.

Some thoughts that may be deep to you..may not always be deep to others...Its a matter of how you perceive it...

took the words right outta my mouth Nikole. All goes back to *defining deep thoughts*. Until we can all agree on one thought that is *deep* then all answers are correct.

I totally agree with all of you and everyone's personal definition of thoughts that are... "Deep"... But at the same time, perhaps we could measure depth by how long a group can keep a conversation going, based on facts, honesty, experience, and opinion... For example, this topic about deep thoughts may seem very straightforward, but look at how much everyone has had to say about it! :)
